STARING AT THE SUN premiered at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival and won Best Horror Short at ScreamFest 2005. Starring UK actor Alec Newman (Frank Herbert’s Dune, Frankenstein) the short explores the concept of destiny, and the dire consequences of messing with it. This was my first full-scale production as a director. Shot on and finished on 35mm as a full theatrical print which is now part of the permanent UCLA/Sundance film archive.
