After over two decades working at the highest levels of the creative and entertainment industries in London and Los Angeles, Toby Wilkins has relocated and built a new home in the Pacific Northwest.
Drawn to the verdant greenery of Oregon and Washington, Wilkins has taken on several projects since his arrival in Portland, including the creation of Portland retail destination CULT, a forest rehabilitation project called Lumbering Shenanigans on a private 45 acre woodland in the Columbia River Gorge, and various collaborations with the Oregon Ballet Theatre.
More recently he has been focused on a the development of a full-frame large format camera adapter system called ObscuraFlex that allows photographers to use their smartphone as a viewfinder when shooting 4×5 film, or as a fully digital capture system while retaining the optical characteristics of the large format.
